A 2-hour CPD accredited online training session specifically designed for therapists to enhance their clinical and product knowledge in relation to Invacare’s renowned Ocean Ergo Shower Chair Commode range.

The extensive Ocean Ergo Accessories range will be demonstrated hands on, live, by one of Invacare’s Ocean Ergo experts Claire Hughes, who will provide insight, advice and guidance on the seamless customisation and configuration of the Ocean Ergo range from entry level to complex needs.

Case study examples will be used to support discussion and the existing range of available educational material on the Ocean Ergo shower chair commode range will be highlighted to support further learning.

Learning objectives for the course

• Review basic seating principles including immersion, offloading and envelopment and highlight important considerations for seated posture on a shower/commode chair.
• Participants will develop an increased awareness of the importance of seating and positioning and the impact posture has on the body’s physiological systems, specifically in relation to digestive and urinary function.
• Participants will develop their product awareness in relation to accessory parts for the Ocean Ergo family shower/commode chairs, helping support participants with their clinical reasoning skills when it comes to assessment, prescription, and supply of these medical devices.
